• Accountancy - We prepare accounts annually, quarterly or monthly so as to keep your affairs up to date. This will enable you to satisfy the requirements of all users of your accounts including the Revenue, bankers and shareholders.
• Tax Planning - We submit personal or company taxation returns on time. We actively endeavour to achieve the optimum tax position and to defend clients against any excessive claims made by the HM Revenue & Customs. Together we can work to keep your tax to a minimum.
• VAT Returns and Book-keeping - We prepare book-keeping records for our clients depending on their requirements. Services range from copmletion of VAT returns to writing up cash books and reconciling bank accounts, to full ledger systems either on a monthly or quarterly basis. Subcontractor payment records can also be kept up to date to comply with CIS regulations.
• Auditing - We are registered Auditors and can therefore ensure compliance with the increasingly complicated statutory requirements.
• Management Advisory Services - We can arrange limited company formations and company secretarial work. We can prepare regular management information including budgets and cash flows. We can help you solve the problems that concern you.
• Payroll - Your payroll is handled quickly and efficiently on either a monthly or weekly basis. Gross pay details are advised to our office, payroll is then processed and net pay advised. We can also advise regarding remittances to the Collector of Taxes and complete all paperwork for starters, leavers and year end returns. Employee and self-employed draft contracts can be provided.
• Investigations - We negotiate between HM Revenue & Customs inspectors and our clients to resolve problem areas. We advise clients at all stages throughout an investigation and aim to minimise penalty and interest payable. Inspection and interviews are carried out at our own offices. We have prctical experience in dealing with status enquiries.

Moffatt & Co are a firm of Chartered Accountants located in Withington, Manchester.

We were established in 1967 with the intention of providing timely and cost effective accountancy services.

After commencing business from one small office with only a handful of clients, we have grown considerably over the years. This growth has come about almost entirely because of recommendations of our existing clients and those of other professionals.

Our partners and staff are available in order to provide assistance to our clients. We have seen many of our clients experience substantial growth out of humble beginnings and it gives us great satisfaction to be associated with such success.
